From the foundation of Ugar Mahila Mandal we used to organize several types of trainings for members. Our president Late. Sou. Meenatai Shirgaokar herself taught women crochet, fine embroidery, patch work, cooking etc., In her tenure itself women were trained for preparation of liquid soap for industrial purpose.
At present when Sou. Smitatai is president we organized very meaningful training camps under the guidance of Late Shri Arvind Deshpande from Leslie Sawhny foundation of Tata Trust Mumbai and V.T. Patil foundation Kolhapur.
In the beginning Mr. Arvind Deshpande and the trust used to arrange varieties of training camps for different class and age of people. Which gives us proper direction for our future. Later on Ugar Mahila Mandal continued the same. Agriculture is backbone of Indian economy to strengthen this we organized agricultural camps. Recently on 10th February “Shivar 2018” an agriculture camp was successfully completed.
Considering the needs of senior citizens 2 to 3 camps like “Maher Purushansathi”, “Sarthak Vardhakaya” were organized.
For the college students we organized camps of their interest like carrier guidance, personality development etc. Particularly we organized a health camp for Teenage girls i.e. H.B. Counting and Blood group checking. Two days workshop was organized in college campus itself to educate them in health area. “Investment in health is a sound investment” was the slogan.
For the housewives we organized training of preparation of food items like papad, pickle, Sause, Soup, moravala for selling purpose. Training of bag making, campher making, candle making, stitching and weaving were given in several camps.
More than 500 members are the beneficiaries of such camps and trainings . Some of them make use of it for further business.
